poetry recitation
kiss me in the iris garden at giverny
mountains reflect in the irises
your eyes are like a sunlit pond
you press me up against the art gallery
shoulder draped with louis vuitton
we wander through tunnels of darkness
walls illuminated with poetry
i recite the words in a whisper
while your hands are reading me
waltzing into wavering lights
of lavender impressionism
colourful silence reminding me
that you are my day-long obsession
a composition of fingers
peony and rosa on timid cheeks
romantic blues and the interplay
of shadow and water lilies
swapping bracelets
brush strokes on skin
poppies finally returning home
to a field they’ve never been
feeling like a lilac bush
in the sun light that always changes
you dance for me with an ensemble
of degas’ ballerinas
your palm on my hip
twirling parasol in my core
my gaze lowers to your lips
salut d’amour
wisteria grows from the sky
rooted in clouds over monet’s bridge
you are my dearest depiction
my lover painted with ink
kiss me,
kiss me in the iris garden at giverny
ahhh you had me at Degas! He's one my faves.
"swapping bracelets
