Beautiful prose here and so many lines that connected to me: "Maybe everything that is hard can eventually soften, under the right circumstances. Maybe if I lived another thousand years I would be softer than an aster petal. Maybe there would only be softness. Maybe I would melt back into the cosmic nature of things. Nothing to judge, nothing to hate, nothing to grieve." Such a tender way to describe, what I would say, someones heart and how it hopes to be lighter one day instead of heavy with burden. I really enjoyed it, thank you for sharing.
This is breathtaking my friend. I love how you move effortlessly between the tactile and the cosmic, the way the sand, the flowers and the wind feel alive and full of memory!!
I'm so glad you could journey to this beach through words, I'm sure you would love it there! Yess! The patterns. Thank you for reading and sharing in the wonder of nature.
There’s a perfect magic in this like the ocean taught the sand how to warm the feet that walk it, and the wind learned to tell secrets to the grasses. Everything you describe feels tender and fierce at the same time. The part about softness growing, even in rough places, makes me think we are all crusted with the salt of our own stories and still turning toward the light, spiraling like flowers made to be danced around by bees. I read this and felt the universe shrug and whisper, you belong. That’s real alchemy.
Oh Belinda, thank you so much for this comment! It is so beautifully written and perfectly captures the essence of my poem. I'm so glad this feeling floated through to you and I thank you for engaging so thoughtfully with my work. Much love 🐚✨
