have you ever been touched by a poet?

have you felt your eyelids
become dragonfly wings
quivering as they hold
tangerine marigolds
sprouting from your eyes?

have you felt your navel
become the sun
planets traced around your skin
counted one by one
embraced as your own little galaxy?

have you ever walked by the sea
and been seen, as pure dancing divinity
all your tangles and knots
like a spider’s tapestry
covered in watery glitter drops?

have you heard the poet whisper
can i be your moon?
may i pull at your waters,
reveal the deepest
parts of you?

have you ever felt so floral
like jasmine green tea
as they remind you of your beauty
with every simile?
