Like Nadia, I too hope for a soft winter. But right now we are in peak summer (or at least it feels that way) It's so interesting to read about the complete opposite and how you capture the magnificent beauty that is winter and how special the sun becomes. These were a few of my fave lines:
the sleepy sunbeams
make the grass sparkle
please don’t melt
you see the faraway gum trees
touching the sky
with a sway
and the way
the leaves

and this one: and the sky tastes like peaches tonight
just because I love peaches and they're in season and I can only imagine what it's like to kiss and taste the sky ☁️✨🪩❣️
It really is so interesting. I feel like I’m the only person on substack in the southern hemisphere sometimes. I’ve been reading all these beautiful summer pieces while feeling like 🥶
